As fireworks burst over the Queen Mary, it is only six weeks until haiku poets will gather to listen to Mitsuye Yamada, watch Satsuki Ina's film, take a sabiki workshop with Kris Moon, listen to Michele Root-Bernstein talk about copy-ku, Patricia J. Machmiller discuss kigo, Michael Dylan Welch ponder the length of moment, Stewart Baker answer the question "Do all roads lead to Basho?", Richard Gilbert explore gendai haiku, Jim Kacian conduct a primer on organic haiku, among many other programming choices. And then, as if that wasn't enough, some will write a renku, others will participate in an anonymous haiku workshop and some may just sit on the deck, enjoy the breeze coming off the Pacific and just hang out with fellow haiku poets. Sound fun? See you there! http://www.haikunorthamerica.com/hna-conference-rates--registration.html
