How to Get to Seattle Center from SeaTac Airport

Shuttle Express- a private service offering a shuttle from the third floor of the airport to hotels or home.  At the airport, cross skybridge 3 or 4 to the airport parking garage, then go down to the 3rd floor. Shuttle Express curb check-in is located near the purple elevator banks. You'll see the check-in kiosks at the curb, just beyond the glass partition.   Activate your open reservation by checking in at the self-serve kiosk or with the airport coordinators. While reservations are highly recommended, if you don't have one, that's ok!  Our coordinators, wearing red jackets or vests, are available to assist you between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. If you arrive between the hours of 2:00 a.m.- 7:00 a.m., just pick up the courtesy phone at the curb and it will ring directly into our reservations office. An agent will take your information and add you to a group going to your area.

Taxi- you can take a taxi from Sea-Tac to the hotels at Seattle Center.  They are at the third floor "inner drive" of the airport.  There is no flat rate from the airport to the hotel.  (My guess is that it will be around $40!)

Airport Rental Cars- click on that link if you need them.  There are a number of rental car places in Seattle too, just ask at your hotel for connections to reserve them.

Cheapest
Light Rail- The Port of Seattle has a light rail service to downtown Seattle.  The Central Link light rail service runs from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m to midnight on Sundays. Trains arrive and depart every 7 1/2 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day.  Cost is $2.75- buy a ticket from the ticket vending machine (TVM) on the Link train platform. TVMs accept cash, VISA or MasterCard. You cannot purchase tickets once on board, so please have valid fare before getting on the train.

The SeaTac / Airport Central Link Light Rail Station is connected to the fourth floor of the Airport Garage. Trains arrive and depart on the platform level of the station, click for the schedule. The covered, level walkway to the Airport Terminal is one level down on the mezzanine. The well-lit walkway is separated from the main area of the garage and directional signs point the way to the Main Terminal skybridge. Wheelchair service is available.  You would ride from the airport to the end of the line at Westlake Station- cost is just $2.75.  At the end of the Link Light Rail line, Westlake Station, you would then emerge from the underground tunnel at 4th Avenue and Pike Street to get a taxi or take the bus to your hotel.

To ride the bus: there is a Metro Customer Service station open from 9-5:30 Monday-Friday with people who can help you get on the correct bus. If you want to plan it out, here is a link to the trip plan tool online.  Enter your trip as "from" WESTLAKE STATION and "to" KEY ARENA" for best results.  For transit information by phone, call Metro at 206-553-3000 or TTY Relay: 711.  It won't be that complicated to ask the driver of the buses at 4th and Pike how to get to Seattle Center.  Most buses will run you $2.25-2.50 cash.
