HNA 2013 Book Fair

The 2013 Haiku North America book fair will take place in the Kings View Room on the Queen Mary. Books from some of the best small presses that publish haiku will be available.  If you have haiku-related books to sell, whether one title or multiple titles, please reserve your free table space beforehand to help us plan.

Hours of Operation and Payment Methods for Book Purchases

The book fair will be open for browsing for most of the conference.  Cash, checks, credit cards, and PayPal payments will be accepted.

Reserving Space at the Book Fair

To reserve a space in the bookfair, please email Oleg Kagan at lifeinoleg@gmail.com and Deborah P Kolodji at dkolodji@aol.com. Tell us your name (or your press’s name) and the estimated number of books you plan to bring for sale. You will be assigned a table or part of a shared table. We have plenty of table space (no wall displays) so if you have just one or a few books for sale, we can always accommodate your books at the last minute, even if you don’t reserve a space beforehand, but reserving beforehand will help us plan better. Thank you!

IMPORTANT: To help book fair volunteers, vendors are required to provide a list of books to be sold and prices (in U.S. dollars).
  • Click the blue button below to download the Book Inventory Form.
  • Fill out the inventory form completely before arriving at the HNA conference.
  • Upon your arrival deliver the completed form to the book fair location in the Kings View Room.
Printed copies of the form will be available at the book fair room, but we encourage you to fill it out beforehand. Please also make sure each book has the price marked on it, or that you provide a price list to be displayed with your books. Thank you!

Exhibitor Rates

There is no charge for the tables used by book fair exhibitors. However, if you wish to make a donation to HNA to help with our book fair expenses, please know that we very much appreciate your support!

Book Fair Details and Conditions

We will assign your books to a table or partial table. Each table will have one or two chairs. The room is not set up for hanging posters. Small table-top posters are allowed, depending on space available once all books are set up for display/sale. Vendors are responsible for bringing or shipping their books to and from Long Beach, which includes all customs paperwork, if applicable. If you want to ship your books prior to the conference, please contact Greg Longenecker at gjlongenecker@yahoo.com.

Exhibitors are responsible for their display materials, and for assembling, dismantling, and packing their own displays.

The book fair space will be locked and secure except during the open browsing and sales periods, or when the Registration and Information area is open (also located in the Kings View Room) and volunteers are present.

Rates for Insertion into the Registration Packet

Exhibitors can ensure that their catalogs or flyers are inserted into the registration packet for conference attendees. The insertion rates are as follows:

  • Catalogs or multipage brochures $20.00
  • Multiple book flyers $15.00
  • Single book flyers $10.00

We look forward to your participation in the HNA book fair! Thank you!
