Just the other day, I was driving on the Highway past Sea-Tac airport, and there I saw a Bald Eagle swooping in the jet streams. In my other life as a boat captain, I see lots of Bald Eagles, which has inspired many haiku. Great Blue Herons are quite common around here, with their loud wingbeats, and slow grace. When the season is right, dozens of Surf Scoters ply the waterways, and Cormorants dry their wings in the trees.
