Jerome is a professor at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. He recently led a delegation of students to Japan, where they performed haiku in American Sign Language.

Emiko lives in Kawasaki, Japan. She is a translator and poet who writes haiku in English and in Japanese. Emiko is an ambassador for Japanese haiku in the West and for English-language haiku in the East.

George, a co-founder of Haiku Canada, is a professor of psychology at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. He is a highly-respected poet, scholar, and editor. He has published 29 collections of his own poetry and has edited a number of important haiku anthologies. Anita Krumins is his wife.
